It’s something beyond a method of survival, however an approach to communicating one’s thoughts, interfacing with others, and passing on rich social legacy. Food is profoundly imbued in our social personality and fills in as a portrayal of our legacy, history, and values.It is a way that is passed down from generation to generation and a part of intangible cultural heritage.
Food Culture can be characterized as the mentalities, convictions and practices that encompass the creation and utilization of food. Food Culture consolidates our nationality, and social legacy.It furnishes an instrument of correspondence with others both remotely and inside our families and networks.Food is not only a part of the culture but also can define culture.Traditional foods and dishes have been passed down to the coming generations.However migration from one place to another may be difficult for many to connect with their food and cuisine.So the y take cooking classes for specific cuisine to come in contact with their original food culture.
In most of the cases regional cuisines are dependent upon what is grown in that particular area having their own specific recipe.Food being a huge part of human existence,many cultures are defined by what they eat and their culinary culture.Every region has their own special food they are famous by.Taking an example of Indian cuisines where every state, region or even a smaller community has their specific food they are called by.For example litti chokha from Bihar,Rasagolla from West Bengal,Dhokla from Gujrat and so on.
As children, we all grew up eating foods of our own culture.The modern era plays a big role in putting together different foods and cuisine on the table.The upcoming generations are more aware about different food and their varieties.Not only from regions but also from different countries,varieties of foods and dishes are being prepared and liked by the people.It represents a way of cultural assimilation through food diversity.

The impeccable taste and flavor in Indian food makes it world famous.Indian cuisine consists of various traditional and regional cuisines native to the Indian subcontinent.These cuisines are mainly a delicious compilation of locally available herbs, spices and vegetables.Indian foods are majorly influenced by religion cultural choices and traditions.
Historical events have played significant role in the food culture of India.Invasions, trade relations have played vital roles in introducing certain foods.The Columbian discovery brought various fruits and vegetables to India such as potatoes, tomatoes,peanuts,guava etc.Indian cuisine has shaped the international relations through spice trade.Spices were bought from India and traded to other Asian countries.
Food in India contrasts across different parts because of the variety in nearby culture, geological area (vicinity to the ocean, desert, or mountains), and financial matters. It likewise fluctuates occasionally, contingent upon which products of the soil are ready.
