This is a very simple and delicious Moong daal tadka recipe with chopped vegetables and spices

Ingredients
1 cup yellow moong daal(yellow split lentils)
1 cup chopped onions
1/2 cup chopped long beans
1/2 cup chopped tomato
3 table spoon oil
1 bay leaf
1 table spoon cumin seeds
2 chopped green chilli
1 table spoon ginger garlic paste
1/2 tea spoon turmeric powder
Salt to taste (I have put 1 and 1/2 tea spoon)
1/3 tea spoon hing/asafoetida
Directions
- Before going through the process of making Moong daal, make sure to wash it off well and soak it up for atleast 15 minutes before cooking..after that stain the water completely
- put a pressure cooker on the gas..add oil..let it be hot..add the cumin seeds and hing/asafoetida into it..add ginger garlic paste and bay leaf.mix well.. add chopped onions and chopped long beans.stir well..then add chopped tomato into it.add turmeric powder and chopped chilli..mix well .cook for two minutes to let the tomato be a little soft.
- Now add the soaked moong deal into it..mix well..put salt ..then add 1 and 1/2 cup water..make sure to use the same cup used to measure the lentils/daal..I have used the standard tea cup..Now close the lid of the pressure cooker and wait for it to whistle for 3 times on high flame for the lentils to be cooked perfectly.
- Let it cool down..the texture of this recipe is on the thicker side..if it looks a little watery after you open the pressure cooker..put it on medium flame by not closing the lid for 3 minutes for a perfect texture.
- and the super delicious moong daal is ready to be served on your plate..grab a bowl with your favorite roti/flatbread/tortilla..this is yummy.
