Chana dal chutney recipe for dhokla and idli

hello everyone👋Today I have brought a chutney recipe..As we all know some food items are incomplete without sauce or chutney like idli,dosa,dhokla,appe and many more.One of the most famous chutney that is served with these dishes is chana daal chutney..This chutney recipe is one of the most simple to make and can be served with variety of dishes..It is made using very less ingredients like chana daal/split chickpeas lentils and some very basic spices..

Chutneys are always the most delicious dips.It instantly spices up our food.Though there are variety of chutneys available..The taste differ according to the ingredients added..but this chutney is one of the most famously served in almost every South Indian food items and also it tastes really good..So let’s make this yummy chutney.

Ingredients

1 cups Chana daal

3 green chilly

1 table spoon chopped ginger

1 tea spoon salt or according to your taste

2 table spoon oil to roast chana daal

1 table spoon oil for the tadka

1 table spoon mustard seeds

7 to 8 curry leaves

Method:-

To make chana daal chutney..Take a pan..add 2 table spoon oil to roast the chana daal/split chickpea lentils..add oil..let it be warm..then add the chana daal..roast in medium flame by gently stirring it with a spatula until it turns light golden..switch off the gas and add 3 cups of water to let it soak for 10 minutes..now remove the greasy water and wash the chana daal..put it in a mixture grinder jar ,add green chilli,ginger, salt and 1/2 cup water..grind well for a semi thick and light granuled paste..Now pour it into a container..

take a tadka spoon..add oil..let it be hot, then add the mustard seeds and curry leaves..switch off and pour it all over the chutney..mix well and serve with your favorite South Indian dish..
