Ingredients
2 small chopped potatoes
2 cups matar/green peas
1 full cup small chopped tomatoes/ 2 tomatoes
1 teaspoon chillipowder
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon garam masala
1 table spoon salt/according to your taste
3 table spoon oil
1 tea spoon grated ginger
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
Method
Sjmply take a pressure cooker..put it on high flame…add oil..let the oil be hot..then add the mustard seeds..as soon as it pops add the tomatoes and ginger..mix well using a cooking spoon..then add the spices like the chilli powder, turmeric powder, and garam masala. Mix all the ingredients well in a pressing movement..Now cook in medium flame stirring time to time until the tomatoes become really soft and takes a light gravy texture.
Now put the chopped potatoes and green peas..then add salt and mix well..Cook for just 2 minutes..
Now add 1 and 1/2 cup of water..stir well and close the lid..let it whistle three times on high flame and switch off the gas as it is done.Remove the cap when the whistle settles, mix again by pressing the veggies gently two to three times.. I have learned this technique from my mom as it makes the veggies mixed well with each other and also it gives thicker texture to the curry..but make sure to mot mash too much.. this is super delicious as you can see.
