Are you bored of the regular plain rice??actually I get bored of the regular plain rice sometimes and I like to give it quick fry to make it more delicious and yummy..Today I have brought a very delicious fried rice recipe which is really easy to make and amazing in taste..Its a very simple recipe which will give you a quick change in taste to the same food we eat everyday.

so we all cook rice almost everyday at our home, so why not frying it at times..It changes the whole taste..In today’s recipe I have added chopped tomato and onions with some added spices like the curry leaves , chilli powder and all..If you don’t like tomato too much , you can skip it but I believe it gives the rice a moist texture and a natural sour taste which comes out of the tomato , and it tastes good..you don’t really need to combine anything with this fried rice but if you prefer anything soupy with rice then definitely you can have your favorite curry or lentils, also people love fried rice with sauce.

Fried rice is one of the most traditional way of making rice like sautéing it with vegetables and spices..It is made in so many different ways..The one I have brought today is a quicker way.If you are running out of veggies and don’t have time to bring it, just make this one and you definitely got a delicious dish..the light yellow color is , because of the added turmeric.Turmeric in food, specially in curries and other dishes is always a good idea..It has many anti-inflammatory properties which is not only good for our body but also good for our skin..as we don’t really have it directly, atleast we can have it through our food.

Ingredients

2 cups cooked rice

2 medium sized onions finely chopped

1 medium sized tomato finely chopped

8 to 10 curry leaves

1 tea spoon chilling powder

1/2 tea spoon turmeric powder

1 and 1/2 teaspoon salt/ according to your taste

1 table spoon cumin seeds

3 table spoon oil

Method

Put an oval pan/kadhai on the gas..let it be completely dry..then add the oil..let it be hot.add cumin seeds and carry leaves.Curry leaves in fried rice gives a very authentic flavor..let the cumin seeds be golden..then add the chopped onions..mix well.. cook for 2 minutes in medium flame.Now add the chopped tomatoes, chilli powder and turmeric powder..mix all th ingredients nicely. Make sure to cook it in medium flame.let the tomatoes be soft. It will take 2 to 3 minutes..As soon as the tomatoes become soft, add the salt..mix well again..then add the cooked rice and mix using a spatula to avoid mashing the rice..mix for 2 minutes well for an even texture and color.Switch off the gas and grab a bowl..its soo delicious..

NOTE-You can use your leftover rice also to make this delicious fried rice.
