Now let’s start making the delicious Palak paneer by listing the ingredients first:-
250g.m paneer/indian cottage cheese
4 bunches of palak/spinach leaves
2 medium sized chopped onions
1 small chopped tomato
1 tea spoon ginger paste
1 teaspoon finely chopped garlic
2 green chillies/1 dry red chilli finely chopped (optional)
3 to 4 pinches of black pepper powder
3 table spoon melted butter
1/2 cup milk for a creamy texture
1 and 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon sugar
Start by washing of the spinach leaves well and thereby chopping it..Now put a container with water on the gas to boil the spinach leaves..add 1 and 1/2 teaspoon salt into the water..as it comes to boil add the leaves and boil for just 3 to 4 minutes..adding salt in water, lets the spinach leaves hold the beautiful green color..Don’t over boil the leaves..now strain the water using a strainer..wash the leaves with cold water just by pouring the water all over it to avoid the saltiness. Now as soon as it cools down, grind the boiled leaves into a paste like texture, just like this.
Now take a pan..put it on high flame..add the melted butter..let it be warm..then add the chopped onions, tomato, ginger and garlic.. mix well and roast for 3 to 4 minutes in medium flame..
As the spices starts to become light golden, add the paneer cubes into it..and mix well..roast it for another one minute.
And then add the spinach paste into it..mix all the ingredients well.
Add milk now and stir well..then add salt, 1/2 teaspoon sugar and black pepper powder..mix well..boil it for another 2 minutes in low flame to let the ingredients mix up well.
And this is it..the delicious palak paneer is already to be served in your bowl..you can add more butter in the end if you wish to👍👍stay tuned for more delicious vegan recipes..
