How to make bread pakora at home/bread fritters recipe
Bread pakora are the delicious snack items made by using bread slices and then by dipping them in gram flour batter with or without stuffing.

Welcome back to the hub of home-cooked delicacies and the taste and flavors of India.Today I have brought a very delicious and simple to make snack recipe BREAD PAKORA.This is also sold at many street corners with chutneys and sauces..It tastes really amazing and crispy.If you have ever wondered how to make bread pakora easily, then go through the simple process and make this delicacy easily at home..
Bread pakoras are made in a very simple way, one is the stuffed one and the other is the simple one ,that is without stuffing..The recipe I have brought is, with stuffing and I have basically combined two recipes here.One for the batter and the other for the masala/stuffing..So if you love those deep fried delicious crisps once in a while, then go though the detailed process below.

Ingredients to make the stuffing
2 cups of mashed boiled potatoes
1 table spoon ginger garlic paste
5 to 6 curry leaves
1 pinch asafoetida
1 tea spoon chilling powder
1/3 tea spoon turmeric powder
salt 1 and 1/2 teaspoon or according to taste
3 table spoon oil
1 tea spoon mustard seeds
Ingredients to make the batter
2 cups of gram flour/besan
1 tea spoon ajwain/ carrom seeds
1 tea spoon chilli powder
2 pinches of baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
Oil to deepfry the pakoras
NOTE-The main purpose behind adding carrom seeds is, It has a very strong and authentic flavor also it has digestive properties which is a bonus when it comes to deep fried snacks.
Method
Let’s start by making the stuffing first.Take a pan..add oil in that.let be hot..then add the curry leaves and mustard seeds..as the seeds starts to pop add the ginger garlic paste. Then add the chilli powder,turmeric powder and asafoetida..don’t overcook the spices..cook for some seconds in medium flame..Add the mashed potatoes and salt..now mix all the ingredients well for an even taste and texture.cook for 3 minutes in medium flame until the potatoes gets well mixed with the spices.
Now to make the batter..Take a flat container or small parat , so that the slices of bread can be dipped well..add gram flour,chili powder, carrom seeds, baking soda and salt..Now dry mix all the ingredients well..add water slowly by mixing all the ingredients at the same time to make a semi liquid batter..You can use your hands or a spoon.
Mix all the ingredients clockwise for a lump free batter for 2 to 3 minutes.. keep the batter aside..In the mean time, put a frying pan on the gas..let it be hot.then add the oil and lower the flame to medium.
in that period take the bread slices, spread the stuffing and cover with another slice of bread..then cut it from the middle just like the Sandwich pieces..
Now dip the pieces into the batter by flipping it to cover it in batter..Put it gently inside the hot oil..and cook in high flame for first 2 minutes and then lower the flame to medium for a good fry all over until it becomes light golden and crispy in texture..fry all the pieces the same way..and the super yummy bread pakora is ready..try this yum with your favorite sauce or chutney.
