Ingredients to make tomato onion curry
5 to 6 tomatoes
3 to 4 green chillies
1 tablespoon gram flour
1 and 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 tablespoon salt
2 tablespoon oil
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
Start the process of making tomato onion curry by putting a pan on the gas.Keep it on high flame and add oil.Put the mustard seeds to pop.As soon as the seeds starts to pop, put the chopped onions and sauté well.Roast the onions until it turns golden.Now add the choped tomato, chilli powder, gram flour, turmeric powder and salt.Mix well in low flame.Add 1/2 cup water at first to let the tomatoes cooked up well.
Keep stirring in medium flame.Now put the green chillies by giving scratches in the middle.
If the curry feels too dry, you can add 1/2 cup water more to cook the tomatoes until it turns soft.Stir the curry in a mashing motion.The texture if this curry is semi thick and also can be served as chutney.Cook until all the tomatoes are mashed up well.Switch of the flame and garnish with some coriander leaves if the flavor taste good to you.
